About Me
Airen Haight grew up in a small town outside of Austin, Texas. They started dancing at 7 years old and quickly fell in love. This passion led them to joining competition teams, both at their studio and at their school. When they reached high school, they joined their school's drill team. They worked hard to advance their craft and was given the opportunity to lead their team as a social officer and captain. When it came time to apply for colleges, Oklahoma City University was the place to beat. The Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment's approach to the entertainment industry of putting an emphasis on having good character and building marketable skills, had Airen packing their bags and moving north to the Sooner State.

While at OCU, Airen started taking arts management and technical theater classes alongside their dance classes. These classes opened their eyes to a whole other side of the entertainment industry and they quickly fell in love with lighting. With this new focus in mind, they took advantage of the after class seminar and training course offered once a semester to learn more about lighting and the equipment used by the Ann Lacy school in their productions. Throughout their time at OCU, Airen worked alongside other students under the mentorship of industry professionals to set up lighting rigs and program productions for the dance school. They also had the opportunity to run the lighting board for many of these productions including The Holiday Spectacular, Move!, We're Back Again, and the CDA Showcase.

Since graduation from Oklahoma City University in May of 2024, Airen accepted a job as a swing lighting technician at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, a popular theme park in Williamsburg, Virginia. In this position, Airen learned the lighting tracks for 4 shows in different venues across the park. Some of these shows included American Jukebox and USA Today's #1 theme park show in America, Celtic Fyre. As the Halloween season rolled around, Airen was able to be apart of the inaugural cast and crew of a new show, Fiends: the Freakqual. Their first east coast Christmas was filled with the songs and light up props of Up on the Haustop. Airen continues to light up the Abbeystone Theater as they start their third year at the park.

When not working int he theater, Airen can be found watching their favorite tv show, Supernatural, or reading up on their extensive book collection. In their free time, Airen also enjoys caving and performing at their local community theater. What they love doing most of all is going through these experiences with their family.
